This project consisted of a 63,000sf, ground-up LEED®-Certified office facility for ConocoPhillips Eagle Ford Shale Group. The building comprises office space, break rooms, training rooms, conference rooms, and a fitness facility. The location also serves as a training and conference center capable of holding up to 300 people.
Because of the remote site location, utilities were not available in the area. A 200ft water well was installed, complete with a nitrate, arsenic water softener system and a 15,000-gallon potable water tank to feed the building. The fire protection system for the building is also fed from a separate 15,000-gallon water tank that feeds a fire pump. All waste water is fed to a 12,000-gallon septic system that feeds the landscape irrigation system. The site also contains an 80ft AT&T cell and radio tower for back-up Internet service and booster for all AT&T carrier phones.
As a safety precaution, FM 792 roadway, where the site is located, was widened to accept acceleration and deceleration lanes, with the speed limit reduced from 70 mph to 55 mph. The maintenance building consists of 4,000sf of office space and a 2,000sf maintenance area for truck and field equipment. The maintenance building is equipped with a loading dock, overhead doors and a ten-ton overhead crane.
