Structure Tone successfully delivered the multi-phase fit-out and restoration of the Salesforce Tower at North Wall Quay, Dublin, one of the most significant commercial developments in the city. Spanning over 465,000 sq ft, the project involved the transformation of both newly constructed and historic buildings into a dynamic, high-end workspace tailored to Salesforce’s global standards. Delivered across five carefully sequenced phases, the works were completed in a live environment with close coordination and minimal disruption.
Project Overview by Phase
Phase 1 & Phase 2 – Concurrent Delivery (185,000 sq ft & 45,000 sq ft)
Phases 1 and 2 were delivered concurrently, covering a combined 230,000 sq ft. These phases established the core of the workspace and included:
- Office areas, meeting rooms, and collaborative zones
- Canteens and tea stations throughout
- A vibrant reception area and landscaped arrivals streetscape
- A central all-hands space for large gatherings and staff events
- Two dedicated ‘Ohana’ floors for client engagement
- Open plan seating and breakout areas to foster connectivity and agility
These phases laid the foundation for a modern, flexible workspace aligned with Salesforce’s culture and operational needs.
Phase 3 – Historic Building Restoration (45,000 sq ft)
Following the completion of Phases 1 and 2, Phase 3 involved the fit-out of a historic former hotel building completed in 1883, once used to accommodate emigrants departing for the United States. The scope included:
- A new all-hands atrium space
- Modern meeting and collaboration spaces
- The restoration of the original feature staircase
- Refurbishment and preservation of the mosaic tiled ground floor
This phase brought together heritage conservation and high-spec office design, adding historic character and depth to the Salesforce campus.
Phase 4 – Adjoining Building Fit-Out (105,000 sq ft)
Phase 4 involved the fit-out of an adjoining building connected to earlier phases, covering 105,000 sq ft. The works included:
- Additional open plan office space and meeting rooms
- All-hands areas, canteens, and tea stations
- Breakout and collaborative zones
- Structural and visual tie-ins to Phases 1 and 2 for seamless integration
This phase ensured continuity in design, user experience, and operational efficiency across the campus.
Phase 5 – Final Works & Simplified Scope (85,000 sq ft)
The final phase, covering 85,000 sq ft, included:
- A completed reception space
- Infill of structural openings across upper floors
- CAT A fit-out of retail units
- Works to the link bridges connecting to Phases 2 and 3
Although scaled down from the original scope, Phase 5 ensured full connectivity and completed the overall vision for the Salesforce Tower campus.
